Welcome to the new education course
‘Knowledge-based economy’ !
This project presents the educational course in English ‘Knowledge-based economy’ for the Master programs ‘International Economics’, ‘International Economics: innovation and technological development’ at the Far Eastern Federal University.
The course was created thanks to the grant support program of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation (Grant program for Master program’s teachers 2014-2015).
The special thanks go to Professor Natalia V. Kuznetsova, Doctor of Economics, Far Eastern Federal University, whose assistance and advice guided my perceptions of a good study material.
I would like to thank my tutor and advisor of the course Philippe Bonnet, University Robert Schuman, Strasbourg, France, who actively participate in the creation process of the English version of this course.
The special great thanks go to Mikhail Vladimirovich Kolesnikov for active participation in the creation of the course as technical concultant, editor and adviser of the course materials.
The theoretical and practical material of this course was patiently gathered over a long period of time from famous foreign universities worldwide – Osaka University, Japan; Kansai University, Japan; Indiana University, USA.
The consultation support needed to elaborate the methodology of this course was provided by the professors of economy from the University of Indiana, USA.
The structure of the course consists of a combination of class lectures with interactive audio and video materials, practical classes with interactive case-situations, and methodological material for essay writing and mind-mapping creation.
A wide range of reference information can be found in the provided course’s material. The course also includes two assessed and graded tests with multiple choice questions (mid-term and final tests).
The questionnaire part is designed to elicit ideas, activate forum discussions and receive feedback from the participants of the course.
